Hello,

I'm getting several times per day the following alert in the Event Viewer of both my Mailbox Role servers which then raise an alert in SCOM 2012:

Log Name: Microsoft-Exchange-ManagedAvailability/Monitoring
Source: ManagedAvailability
Event ID: 4
Mean Scan Time has been greater than 60 seconds for the last 15 mins. Please investigate.

I'm not able to find information about what is being monitored and how to get rid of this events.
Any help appreciated.

Dear all,

on our Test Lab we are testing Exchange 2013,

we need to test the phone connectivity to iPhones or Blackberry's.

Emails are coming to the exchange through the pop3 connector ( no Mx record ).

i've forwarded port 443 on the firewall to the exchange.

when i type https://myexternalip/owa its works i get the web interface and i logged in.

however when a iphone client is connected to the exchange its connect but can't recieve the emails.

do i need to NAT more ports to the Exchange 2013 ?

I've faced bad problem about ECP authentication i can't solve it

when i try to logging with ECP it gives me a error that "the user or password you've entered is incorrect"

also i have tried to fully recreate the ECP virtual directory on both Default Web Site and Exchange Back End

I even removed all configuration about ECPApplicationPool on applicationHost.config file

i did everything but i got same error yet

Plz help me ! now users cant open their mailbox setting at OWA cause ECP authentication error

at ECP Default Web site :

basic and anonymous authentication is enabled

at ECP exchange Back End :

Windows and anonymous authentication is enabled

also when i run test-ecpconnectivity it returns:

WARNING: The test couldn't test the internal URL of this virtual directory, because the InternalURL property isn't set.

How can I add x400 address using import-csv new-mailbox powershell script?

In csv, I added a mail2 column with the following value:

X400:c=GB\;a=xxx\;p=xxxx\;s=xxxx\;g=xxxx

and run the command;

PS P:\> Import-CSV "C:\NewU.csv" | foreach {New-Mailbox -Name $_.displayName -Alias $_.sAMAccountName -UserPrincipalName $_.userPrincipalName -samAccountName $_.sAMAccountName -OrganizationalUnit $_.OrganizationUnit -PrimarySmtpAddress $_.mail -EmailAddresses @{add=$_.mail2} -FirstName $_.FirstName -LastName $_.LastNam

Good morning,

I need to find the way to extract EDITION of exchange server from some place. The only way I found is to use powershell get-exchangeserver cmdlet, but this is not satisfactory solution, as we need to find the way to feed our database with this data on the regular basis via query. Therefore my question is - do you know where does this information reside? Where is the cmdlet pulling it from - AD? If so - which attribute of wchich class is it stored at? Hello,

My Exchange 2013 RTM search stopped working. The "Host Controller" service was failing to start. I was able to restart it by reinstalling the nodes. (My node.ini files were corrupted)

Now both search services are running and my ContentIndexHealth is Healthy.

However, I'm still having a bunch of 1012 and 1010 error coming from the search and my users are unable to use the search on OWA.

I've tried both solutions in these thread without luck :

Hi all,

In my environment, I have 2 Exchange Server 2013 : ex01(Mailbox + Client Access Roles) , ex02(Mailbox + Client Access Roles). Database Availability Group : DAG01 including 2 members ex01 & ex02. I have 3 mailbox databases : mb01, mb02, mb03

               ex01                                 ex02
mb01      mounted                           healthy
mb02      healthy                             mounted
mb02      healthy                             mounted

We have about 400 mailboxes , 300+ users online simultaneously, my users access to their mailbox by using MS Outlook, OWA, Smart phone ... How can I count number of client connection to each Exchange server ?
Each server has 16GB RAM, they always use 95%+ capacity of physical memory, we will have more users in tomorrow so I want to know if we need to extend memory.

I've created a MailUser (no mailbox) account for an application service. When I try to delegate access to the required users' calendars I get the following:

Hello TechNet

I need to know if it's possible to give external exchange users access to a meeting room or a resource in Exchange.

We have Exchange 2007 and 2013, the users in the Exchange 2013 enviroment will need access to resources in the Exchange 2007 enviroment. The most important thing is that users can be able to book meeting rooms and get an instant reply from the meeting room.

I've had a look at GalSync (http://www.galsync.com/) but this tool will only synchronize the objects.. so i might as well create a simple powershell script instead to accomplish this.

If needed I will upgrade the Exchange 2007 to 2013, this needs to be done anyway.

Windows XP Machines Always Prompt for Credentials (Exchange 2013, Outlook 2010)

I am running Exchange 2013 on Server 2012 Datacenter (VM). Windows 7 clients with Outlook 2010 work fine. Windows XP clients with Outlook 2010 prompt for credentials (user name and password) each time Outlook is started, and checking the "Remember my password" box does not prevent this from happening the next time. The "Always prompt for logon credentials" checkbox on the "Security" tab of the "More Settings" section of the Exchange account is not checked. I have found a myriad of posts with similar issues, but they all seem to have to do with SBS/Exchange 2007, and I haven't come across something that works as a solution for me. One suggested certificate issues, and I was having certificate security warnings, but I got that resolved. I am hopefuly that the fact that this only happens on Windows XP will be telling.

Hi,

I am in the middle off a migration job from Exchange 2007 running on a SBS 2008 server, to a new Exchange 2013 server. Everything looks fine, but I have one issue. When I try to manage a mailbox, in ECP, with a AD user object located in the Users container in Active Directory, I retrieve a error saying Can't find the organizational unit that you specified. Make sure that you have typed the OU's identity correctly.

If I try to create a new mailbox, I can not chose to place it in the Users container either.

My guess is that this has something to do with how SBS handles security. Has anyone experienced this earlier, or knows how I can solve it?

Hello,

I am trying to move my exchange 2013 database to a different partition, when I enter the move-databasepath command, It says the operation couldn't be performed because object "databaseName" could not be found on "Southwestdc01"

My Exchange server name is SWPSExchange, I am in the exchange management shell on my exchange server, but it's as if it is looking for the database on my Active directory server. I have one DC, and an exchange server. Is there a way to specify which server the database is on? If it would only look for the database on the SWPSExchange, it would work.

i verified the database name, the issue is when I run the move-database command, it is looking for the database on the wrong server.

Power shell script to add multiple aliases with a .csv file.

I have an email address lets say project@mailserver.org and I need 1000 aliases added to the email. For example Project1@mailserver.org, Project2@mailserver.org etc etc. and I have a .csv file with 990 columns with just project1, project2.

Is there a way to run a command in powershell exchange to import all the aliases I need in a few commands? Can someone point me in the right direction if I am in the wrong forum also? Thanks

No sure if this is correct or not:
